thanks Lianne
I have been struggling to find time at the moment to do work on the Prancing Pony but will maybe have some more now that Lost has finished and I can spend more time thinking about the layout of the Inn rather than trying to work out the impossible conundrums of that island!!!!

Hello, Maddie! We don’t know each other, but a friend sent me your blog about Bag End. Wow!
I wanted to say what a really fine job I think you’ve done.
I have a certain amount of involvement in LOTR, as I was the cameraman who filmed all the miniatures–and there were a lot of them! Not Bag End, of course, that was full size. But all the others. How long were we on the miniatures? Must have been over 6 years for the three films.
So I truly enjoyed seeing your work. Your narrative of how you devised ways to create textures and so on is very interesting. The way you did the work is *exactly* they way the the guys (and many gals) in the Art Department work.
WE’re just starting up on “The Hobbit.” Hobbiton has been re-planted and re-treed and will soon be ready. I don’t know yet how many minis there are going to be.
Anyway, I think you did an exceptional job, and I hope you have as much fun with the Prancing Pony. Frodo Lives!
